A hub with IR functions and connects the SwitchBot Bots to Google Assistant, Siri, Alexa and other smart integrations like IFTTT.

The SwitchBot Bot connects to Wi-Fi through the Hub and with that, you could integrate Google Assistant. I suggest purchasing SwitchBot Hub Mini along with the Bots.

Control via Wi-Fi

Here is a scenario. Suppose I forgot to switch off the lights. And I’m already way past the Bluetooth connectivity zone. I could still control it because it’s connected via Wi-Fi. All I need to do is open the app and toggle the Bot to switch it off.

Automate IR Devices

It also acts as an infrared blaster which enables it to emulate and copy infrared signal from any remote. For the living room where there are multiple remote controls, I could easily let the SwitchBot Hub “learn” and mimic the air conditioner remote, the TV remote, and the fan and lighting remote by just pointing the existing

Is it for you thou?

Anyone can easily attach SwitchBot Bots onto their existing light switches without hiring an electrician to rewire the switches. It’s a simple device to smart up your existing home devices and use it with Google Home, Siri, Alexa, and IFTTT.  But it is limited to one switch button per Bot. And if you want more than that, it’s not feasible.
